we have been informed that item gifting has dropped off the radar - we will be looking into it and will update as soon as we have anything concrete.
this came back in response to our email, clearance for publication just arrived :
"We had to remove the Gifting link after reports of a hack came from ambassadors, where rapid clicking on it would result in free FD somehow. Will put it back once we're sure there's not a continued leak there."
we hope to have a major news flash later today, around 6 or 7 pm EST...stay tuned!

ReplyDeletei heard back from my contact (lord, it's nice to ask a question and get a prompt and truthful answer!) and am waiting to hear if the full story is cleared for open publication. i can say that it WAS a glitch, a legitimate reason to pull the option, and that gifting will return as soon as they figure out how to repair the problem.
ReplyDeleteAny update as to when the Gifting option will be restored? I have a friend that is in desperate need of items and FooDollars and there's no way to get anything to her without actually giving her money and having her buy FooDollars (which aren't cheap). And giving her money isn't an easy task either as she's halfway across the country from me.
