11/12/11 : comes the weekend - and go the ledgers and Care Logs once again. Sometime between 9 and 11 am CA time (best we've pinned it down so far), we reverted to the classic "Care bars grow, but care doesn't show" scenario.
any scuttlebutt about what they're up to THIS time? perhaps a bot program similar to the one that sniffs messages (profile, gift, and meebo) for suspicious keywords, designed to identify and purge naughty and dangerous (i.e. uncomfortably true) remarks and/or links on personal profiles?
11/15/11 - fixed sometime today...anything wondrous/new/different, or any indication on the Forum that they were officially even aware of it?

LOL yes, maybe that's the reason. Haven't checked to see if the usual bots have gone missing as they usually do at such times. I was a little surprised at the lack of care history, seems odd that they are doing actual work (required to break things so well) on a weekend.
ReplyDeletei'm sure the bomb went off at 5pm on Friday as usual - just took a bit longer to bollix the core programming for some reason. that implied some kind of a worm program, so i may not be as facecious (that can't be right, but i don't have a spellcheck here) as i hoped...
ReplyDeleteLOL... Well the care is still not registering so they did well. It's getting to be quite regular... but at least the little ones' bars go up when they get fed. It's a nuisance though as I am closing another account for hibernation today and I like to keep a copy of the Fd ledger when I do so -- just a little foible of mine. I wonder if they are as good at bollixing things over on PetTales too, I really cannot face looking back in there again. That game is so much not my kind of game, with all its quests and targets.
ReplyDeletei hit PT these days just to feed the kids, tidy the park a bit, and send/return gifts to those who still bother...i got tired of having my arm joggled, also.
ReplyDeleteit's now getting on for noon CA and they still don't have things repaired - though as everything else is running BETTER than usual, they can leave it be for all of me, lol. ledger copying a GOOD precaution, though, sorry it's blocked.
I confess that poor little Deedles is having to depend on any handouts over there, as I really have trouble dealing with FB and I find the game so dull. Once I have fed her, there is nothing really that I want to do there. One cannot even feed neighbours' pets and, last time I looked, one only had three things per day one could do in any neighbour's park. And yet so much seems to require having friends or spending money. No thanks, I simply get Deedles from my cache and play with her there. One interesting thing I note from the videos that they put out, by the way -- the chihuahua has one of the animations from Pokey chihuahua days, which implies that they did not overwrite or delete those old Pokey-chi animations. They would get a surge of interest in foo again if they released the "pokey" animations for the chis and yorkies LOL
ReplyDeleteAs for the game running better -- to be honest it is much the same for me. The ledgers were not fixed last night, so I didn't get my screenshots, but oh well LOL That's another Ark all settled in and following the fleet.
you can put Pet Tales in a cache/widget? whoopie, one less worry - and yes, there is no way to feed anyone else's pet, with or without permission, even though we have petitioned them for something along those lines, or at least some kind of day care.
ReplyDeletefrom what i've been able to find out, the old Chi, Yorkie, etc behaviors run on the pokey platform, so unfortunately we are unlikely to see them here...how very interesting that they can be used so blythely on Pet Tales. (though they are still plagued by the constant "please refresh" messages - but those predate any recently-added pokey coding). i see that they have added the horrendous grab-your-pet-by-the-scruff-and-wave-it-around-while-it-struggles-desperately gambit from here...without warning, or instructions on how to let the poor thing go...
