Hi All! After a week of playing catchup on the tickets, and the continued effort to repair the site slowness, and in the midst of the business talk behind the scenes, we just wanted to remind everyone once again that FooPets is not going anywhere. I repeat, FOOPETS IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
FooPets is currently transitioning under new ownership. So all you crazy stalkers out there, please stop e-mailing current/ former Rivet employees. More specific information regarding this matter will come when we’re ready to share it with you.
Once again, we are thankful for those that are able to remain patient with us and for continuing to be a supportive community. And a special thanks to those that have been a positive member and for being respectful and reasonable throughout this period. Members like you make this community awesome!
A few things to remember:
-The issue of site slowness for some people is something that’s still being worked on. We expect to have this fixed soon.
-FooPets is no longer owned by Rivet. So just who is it that’s keeping FooPets from ending up like PT? ;)"
good question. very, VERY good question. hopefully at some point in the not-too-distant future, it will have an equally good answer.
Good to see it back up... but, I suspect some things will still be in transition / not working properly.
ReplyDeleteFor example, I can't change my pet's scenes. And I can't do a "view scenes" on mart items.
I guess there are a few things to iron out... hopefully not too many though. :)
Great to see it back! Shame it was not up a lot earlier to let more people be able to make some leap year litters - I am sure a lot of people missed out on that opportunity.
I am on the West Coast (Oregon) and I am not able to sign in yet. Is anyone else having this problem?
ReplyDeleteAnon, if all we lose is Leap Litters (and as they have the ability to tweak birth dates - as when a pet is accelerated - people could file for a fix in Suport), we will be doing very well indeed...hopefully they are still finetuning stuff like Scenes, etc, and they will come online later.
ReplyDeleteWolf, not sure - i assume you've tried all the home remedies like reloading, cache clearing, etc...were you logged on prior to the crash? i'll see what i can find out.
(Wolf, just peeped your profile, looks like it resolved as you cared for them a half hour ago...and boy do they look happy you're back!)
ReplyDeleteGold Rush - thanks for checking. It took me a while but I did finally get to all my accts (active ones that is, others could get anything done). I am just so glad to see things intact. We have been through worse, and we will get through this just fine. Happy Dance!
ReplyDeleteOk. Mine was up this morning but now I cant get on again. Anyone else having a problem?
ReplyDeleteIt's down again 3:
ReplyDeleteIt is running very badly indeed, and you will probably have to try logging in many times before you actually get in.
ReplyDeleteIf you log in but get to mad kitty with your account name at the top, click on your account name until you get to see your profile.
If when you log in you keep getting madkitty without your account name at the top, try a couple more times and if still no luck try a different browser or pause for a few minutes and try again.
Many of us cannot feed etc via the play page, and have to use the pet profile pages and instacare.
Quite often you will still get madkitty, or server unavailable, or any of the errors, just when you load a pet. Just click again, and when you feed and it doesn't seem to "take", refresh the page and see if the stats bars went up at all.
I think everyone is getting these problems, we just have to keep at it in order to keep pets fed and bonding up.
At least the site was sold to someone who is trying to keep it going, and wasn't simply dumped! Hugs to everyone!
things still seem to be running irregularly, but they ARE running, which is better than the alternative, lol. still wating for either the Boogieman or the Good Fairy to jump out of the closet...
ReplyDeletei have mine bookmarked already logged in, if that makes any difference...so far i have been avble to reload past Mad Kitty and/or 5oo errors. also, i have had decent luck accessing and tending via m.foo (maybe the coding is simpler, as it doesn't have as many bells and whistles to glitch up?), so if all else fails, try that. if you're unfamiliar with it, take a look at the "what to do in m.foo" link clickable below right.
I'm just so glad it's back up, enough to feed and weekend-board my 17 cats. I even got to play Yarn Barn last night and got to keep all the FGs I won, which finances my weekend boardings. So it's not working perfectly yet, but it will get there.
ReplyDeleteI find it totally unacceptable that Snacks called some of the players...the very one that pay his salary... crazy stalkers. Maybe if there was better communication from the company, players would not feel the need to contact whomever they are able to to try to get info. I think he was very wrong to refer to the playing community in that fashion and it speakes volumes regarding admins true feelings for their customers. Bad business move me thinks.
ReplyDeleteno arguement here...i was a bit surprised myself. if their emails are public, they are going to get messages - and those with issues are far more likely to go to the trouble of sending them. if one cannot get a response onsite or through Support, asking someone who should (at least theoretically) KNOW seems natural enough to me...and if they don't feel like reading, 'em, hey, just do what i do with stray email and delete it, lol.
ReplyDeletefor what it's worth, while i suspect some Rivet people are involved in the new foo regime, Rivet as a company apparently had a massive meltdown and is no more.
